•On April 1, 2025 USA hockey registrations are available for the 2025-2026 season.
•Please register with USA Hockey Member Registration between April 1, 2025 and August 1, 2025.
•AFTER April 1, please enter your 25-26 USA hockey registration number on our website on our registrations page.
INSTRUCTIONS TO COACH FOR CANAL IF YOU ARE REGISTERING BEFORE APRIL 1:
- Step 1: Register as a coach on this registration site.
- Step 2: After April 1, CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register. Be sure to PRINT and SAVE the confirmation code(s).
- Step 3: Return to this registration and enter the USA Hockey Confirmation Code that you received in Step 2.
- Step 4: You will also need a USA Hockey CEP number to coach. Once you receive this, you will need to re-enter your application and enter your new CEP number at a later date but no later than Dec 31, 2025. To obtain a USA Hockey coaching certification number (CEP), visit Coaching Certification (usahockey.com).

TO BECOME A FULLY CERTIFIED USA HOCKEY COACH (MANDATORY), HERE ARE THE DETAILED STEPS:
REQUIRED BY SEPT 1:
- Register as a member of USA Hockey.
- Complete the background screening.
- Complete the USA Hockey Safe Sport Training. (Required every year and cannot be added to a roster until completed)
- Complete the online age-specific module(s) for the age level of play you are coaching. Must be completed PRIOR to participating in any team activities and cannot be added to a roster until completed

Coaching Education Program Certification Clinic Requirements
- Find, register and attend the required certification clinic. You can only attend one clinic per season and all coaches must enter USA Hockey's Coaching Education Program. You can take clinics from June 15th-Dec. 31st each season.
